Today we arranged an interview with a welder who almost passed an argon welding test (141 TIG welding method). It was at one of our enterprises in Poland. And he passed the test according to method 135, 136 on EXCELLENT mark.
The welder’s name is Vladimir. We gathered some questions and asked him to answer them honestly. It turned out to be a useful article for all people who want to work as a welder abroad. Yes! It is necessary to complete the task on the test as quickly and efficiently as possible. Because time is considered. But of course, the most important is quality of your work.
Butt joint with cutting edges in a vertical position, from bottom to top. Then the horizontal position.
Yes, that was some issues, but I solve them by using hand gestures and the program in the phone.
In my case, there were not enough skills in the welding process of the 136-138 methods. The difference from method 135 is that the settings for the welding machine and the welding arc are completely different.
But the 141 tig welding method is a completely different welding technique. Using the tig method, I had to pass tests for welding a pipe with a fixed joint under the cutting of edges. Diameter 25 mm, wall thickness 4 mm, ferrous metal material.
To take the test:
– You need a lot of experience;
– Also, you need to know the welding process of various steel;
– You need to know the parameters of the welding machine you need to know thoroughly.
